OK here we go, Hi my name is Ian im nineteen from a small town on the west coast of scotland. Ever since i was a little boy i was facinated by the black box my mum had she pointed it at me and it could save the picture i saw and we could look back at it. Even as a kid i would ask for a go of the camera when it was out at birthdays/holidays and it slowly progressed and when digital photography became available it became an obsession i got my first 3mp camera and it all strted from there! When some friends were playing concerts and i tagged along with a camera to help them out and i eventually ended up on a media course which i hated but i loved wednesdays as thats when photography day was i was talking to a lecturer at the end of the year and he suggested i join the photo course so i did and it was a incredibly educational year i got way much more than i expected to out of it i left with an understanding of not just taking pictures but lighting them composing them and also editing them. When the end of the year was over my thirst for knowledge on this subject wasnt quite over so i applied and got accepted for the HNC course which i spent a year that flew by on I learned so much and the pace was just so fast, but all good things come to an end and the college i had spent most of my time studying at couldn't afford to run second year (HND) So i applied for the city of glasgow college (Formlerly known as glasgow metropolitan or the college of building and printing) and i made the cut and i got an offer for the course, Now that the course has been running for almost 6 months i am feeling happy with my progression i've also applied for my BA (degree) in photography so fingers crossed i'll get past the application progress and on to my course, I also have a passion for buying old cameras and using them i have an obsession with analogue photography paticularly medium format if you'd like to know more about my collection feel free to ask. Photography aside im your average teenage geek I have limited friends that mean the world to me I don't have the social life i dreamed of. I spend alot of time gaming.
